First-year UCL Mathematics

Analysis 1. Algebra 1.
Mathematical Methods.
We are mapped to all eight.

UMM UCL delivers PhD-led workshops built around UCL’s published first-year Mathematics syllabus. Eight non-condonable modules — fail one twice and you cannot continue your degree. Our workshops exist to make sure that never happens.

Your UCL modules

Eight modules.
All non-condonable.

UCL’s first-year Mathematics modules are non-condonable. That means fail one twice and you cannot continue your degree. Every UMM UCL workshop is built around these exact modules — their UCL-specific syllabus, past paper conventions and examiner expectations.

Common questions

What UCL students
ask us most.

When do UCL workshops open?
Workshops are launching Summer Term 2026, timed for UCL’s exam period. Register your interest now and you will be the first to know — with a free trial workshop included.
Are these mapped to UCL’s syllabus specifically?
Yes. Every workshop is built around UCL’s published first-year Mathematics modules — MATH0003, MATH0004, MATH0005, MATH0006, MATH0008, MATH0009, MATH0010 and MATH0011. Not another university’s content.
What does non-condonable mean for me?
It means if you fail one of UCL’s eight first-year Mathematics modules twice, you cannot continue your degree. UMM workshops are designed to prevent that outcome by keeping you ahead of each module’s exam conventions from Week 1.
Is UMM affiliated with UCL?
No. UMM is an independent academic support service. All module references are based on publicly available UCL course information.
What if I miss a live session?
Every session is recorded and available immediately after it ends. Missing a live session does not mean missing the content.
What programmes does UMM UCL cover?
Mathematics BSc, Mathematics MSci, Mathematics with Statistics, Mathematics with Economics, and other programmes taking the core MATH00xx first-year modules.
